Upcoming Art Exhibit Features HP's Language of Color Portfolio

"Paper Wing Forest," an exhibit, lecture and performance experience, opens on Thursday, September 14, in the Foreman Gallery of Contemporary Art in the Anderson Center for the Arts at Hartwick College.


Please join us at 4:30 p.m. for an opening reception, a dance performance by Kathryn Smith at 5 p.m. and a lecture by Paper Wing Forest artist Dori Miller at 5:30 p.m.
Dori Miller is an oil painter, papermaker and teaching artist. ​Dori currently works and resides on-the-Hudson in Kingston, New York.


Also on view is Hand Papermaking’s 14th Portfolio: The Language of Color. Since 1994, Hand Papermaking has published fourteen portfolios featuring handmade paper produced by more than 230 leading contemporary paper artists. Curated by Hong Hong, this portfolio includes work exploring the vast range of interpretations of color and all its aesthetic and cultural implications. These 16 unique and individual handmade paper works were produced by artists Rebecca Alm & Amanda Degener, Tom Balbo, Kerri Cushman, Katharine Delamater & Colleen Lawrence, Sue Carrie Drummond, Gina Fowler, Leah Frankel, Susan Gosin, Viviane Colautti Ivanova, Genevieve Lapp, Henry Obeng, Anela Oh, Ingrid Schindall, Megan Singleton, Maria Amalia Wood, and Derick Wycherly.


Dori’s exhibit, "Paper Wing Forest," along with The Language of Color will be on view in the Foreman Gallery from September 14 to October 20.
